Learn Arabic is a structured and detailed Arabic learning program introduced by the Cambridge Islamic College, in collaboration with the online learning platform DeepDeen. It is based on four comprehensive modules that cover all essential aspects of Arabic learning.

The Learn Arabic course is delivered online and designed to meet the standards of self-paced learning, making it flexible and accessible for students worldwide. The program offers 12-month access, downloadable textbooks, and recorded lectures. There are no age, degree, or geographical restrictions — students can enroll at any time and take exams after completing either each module or all four modules together. Each module concludes with a 100-mark exam, and upon successful completion, students receive a digital certificate.

Module 1: Introduction to Arabic Grammar

Module One of Learn Arabic provides a foundational understanding of Arabic grammar, conversational Arabic, and morphology. It includes key topics such as sentence structure, case endings, plurals, iḍāfah (construct phrases), noun-adjective phrases, and verbal sentences. The module features 30 hours of recorded lectures, 20 hours of tutorials, and 2 hours of revision sessions.

Module 2: Verbs and Derivatives

The second module focuses on Arabic verbs (al-fi‘l) and their derived forms, which are crucial for understanding both grammatical and semantic structures. Verbs in Arabic illustrate tense, voice, and mood, expressing action, occurrence, or state. Topics covered include sound, hollow, defective, doubled, and assimilated verbs (past and present). This module is based on the book Mabādi’ al-Taṣrīf by Sheikh Muhammad Akram Nadwi.

Module 3: Advanced Grammar and Application

This advanced grammar module explores in-depth Arabic grammar as found in Qur'anic, classical, and pre-Islamic texts. It helps learners read and analyze the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical Arabic literature. The aim is to strengthen students’ mastery of complex grammatical structures, preparing them for translation and comprehension of advanced Arabic texts.

Module 4: Writing & Expression

The final module emphasizes Arabic literary styles and the comprehension of Arabic literature. It focuses on developing writing skills, expanding vocabulary, and enhancing fluency in both written and spoken Arabic.

The total cost of Learn Arabic is £175, with each module priced at approximately £74. The pricing may vary depending on the student’s country of residence. Examination

The examination process is simple and efficient. As mentioned earlier, students can schedule their exams by informing us once they have completed their coursework. Exams are conducted at the date and time requested by the student. Please ensure that your country and standard time are mentioned when confirming your exam schedule.
