How to Solve the Middle-Eastern Crisis?

The subject header is not a mistake. The solution to the Middle-Eastern crisis and every other Muslim crisis in the world is closely connected with Surah al-Baqarah. Surah al-Baqarah is extremely important for every Muslim today as it deals extensively with the conditions of the past Muslims (the bani Israel) that are not very dissimilar to the conditions of Muslims today.

Surah al-Baqarah is no ordinary surah in the Qur’an. It is the longest surah, covering the entire spectrum of human history from the origins of man to the ends of time. It is also the most comprehensive surah, containing the guidance given to mankind from the first prophet Adam ‘alayhi as-salam to the last prophet Muhammad salallahu ‘alayhi wasallam. More importantly, the cornerstone of this surah is the example of Ibrahim ‘alayhi as-salam – father of both bani Israel and bani Ismael. It was Ibrahim ‘alayhi as-salam who famously supplicated for a messenger to be sent from among the people of Makkah – a supplication which was fulfilled thousands of years later with the advent of Muhammad salallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, the messenger whose guidance was to remain until the last day.
