Cambridge Islamic College is pleased to introduce a series of lectures on Surah Yusuf by Dr Tareq Moqbel. The lessons from the story of Yusuf (‘alayhi salam) are timeless and are relevant to both young and old. This is a great opportunity to spend about an hour every other week reflecting on Surah Yusuf and, also, to socialise with others after the class. These classes are open for everyone, men and women, free of charge. We encourage families to attend and there will be creche for younger children with play and activities. The talk is available online for non-Cambridge residents.

Dr Tareq Moqbel is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Westminster in London where he lectures on English law and different areas of Islamic law. He holds degrees from Medinah University and the University of Durham, and is a specialist in Quranic exegesis, hermeneutics and the ten variant readings of the Quran. Currently, Tareq is researching moral philosophy and theology at the University of Cambridge.
