Their mission is to inform mankind of what they could not know by themselves with their knowledge, reasoning or experience. This include how to worship God, how to live in this world, the reality of death and the life after death. As such the message of the all the prophets of God are one and the same. The Muslims are commanded to follow all of them. This module introduces students to the lives and teachings of  Prophets in the Qurʾān, ḥadīṭh and other early Islamic sources. It positions Islam and Muslims as part of the Abrahamic tradition (millat Ibrāhim), as mentioned in the Qurʾān. The sad reality is that some of the scholars and preachers are still set in their old and traditional way of thinking. They find it very hard to provide convincing and practical answers to these modern challenges. This programme looks at the modern challenges with a fresh eye to find answers from the Qurʾān, Sīrah and the research of scholars both past and present. This module teaches students how Muslims living in modern, globalised and pluralist societies can use classical Islamic legal principles to respond to modernity and post-modernity in pursuit for new answers, while remaining true to their faith.
